| A Signature Album blends the parallel stories of your wedding day, the realistic version
and the romantic aspects. The reality story is based on photographing
a wedding in a photo journalistic style, photographing as an unobtrusive
observer. The romantic story embellishes interaction of the couple
in an impressionistic style of photography. The realistic story centers on photographing the emotional interaction of the bride, the groom and the secondary characters. The emotion and spontaneity of interaction is increased with the use of the following four techniques: •Photographing in an photo journalistic style, that is photographing without any attempt to interpret or overstate •Taking many pictures of the same interactive situation •Having subjects participate in activity in which their actions are directed instead of posed •Using assemblages of images and pages in arrangement of the album The realism may be the foundation of the Signature Album but romanticism is its distinction. The interaction of the couple in the romantic story is photographed in an impressionistic style. Webster defines impressionism as "images who's effectiveness are achieved more by evoking subjective and sensory impressions, than by the reaction of objective reality." The impressionistic style utilizes a variety of techniques to evoke and embellish the feeling of romantic love of couples. The romanticism of a wedding album is increased in two ways. First, by taking the couple away from the busyness of the party so they can be quietly photographed interacting as a couple. Second, by placing the couple in imaginative settings, photographing from unusual camera perspectives and by using a variety of camera and lighting technique. The romantic story also includes distinctive close-up portraits of the couple. The primary purpose of impressionistic pictures is to be eye-stoppers to pause the viewer so they can enjoy the captured moment. This varies the rhythm of the album viewing. Impressionistic pictures are used for a dramatic introduction, transition, and closure as they are in writing and cinematography. |
